I was in wonderful meetings all last weekend and felt that peace that passes understanding. Then on Sunday night, as I walked from one room to the next in my home, suddenly I was so aware of the loving Presence of the Father that I cried out "My God, My God." And then I recalled Jesus on the cross crying out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" And I realized that I was experiencing the exact opposite of what He did on the cross. Because He experienced the absence of God which I deserved, I experience the Presence of God which He bought for me. How amazing is this Lord we serve!!! How great is His mercy, and love, and desire for good things - for us! The words from the song "He Touched Me" leap to my heart "I can never cease to praise Him. I'll shout it while eternity rolls!"
More than anything, I want to fulfill the first and most important commandment. How about you?
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Matthew 22:37
